Dominic "Dick" J. Puglisi

Dominic "Dick" J. Puglisi is a Professor and Stavros Chair in Free Enterprise & Economic Education at the University of South Florida (USF) College of Education. A faculty member since 1969 and Director of the Gus A. Stavros Center since 1980, he has held leadership roles such as Assistant Dean for Business and Education Partnerships.

His research focuses on advancing free enterprise and economic education through business-education partnerships to equip K-12 educators with skills for preparing students in the global economy. He previously taught social studies at a Tampa high school and instructed social science education methods at USF from 1969-1980.

Dr. Puglisi has also served as Acting Director of the National Resource Center for Middle Level Education, Assistant Director of the Educational Policies Center, and continues to influence curriculum development and teacher training.
